Eric a father of 6, and grandfather of 3, worked as a horticulturist at the NYC Department of Parks and Rec. He was killed by police in front of a local beauty supply store where he was chatting with friends. Eric’s last words of “I can’t breathe” have become a rallying cry at ongoing protests against police brutality.
